Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Colt (ranked 7401 p4p, 591 weight class) and Brandon Waldrop (ranked 24576 p4p, 685 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waldrop throws a series of punches but Colt avoids them all with ease.
Colt was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Colt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Waldrop napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Waldrop regains half guard.
Colt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Waldrop on the ground.

Waldrop looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Colt lands with a punch from half guard.
Waldrop manages to get to full guard.
Waldrop is trying to control the position but Colt postures up.
Waldrop can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Colt controls the pace.
Waldrop is trying to keep Colt in close.

Colt content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Waldrop has locked up a guillotine! Waldrop's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Colt is holding on here and Waldrop must be using up a lot of energy. Colt has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Waldrop gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
