Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tyson (ranked 5869 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Varela (ranked 5951 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Tyson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Varela changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tyson tries to avoid it but Varela manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tyson to the ground. Tyson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tyson closes the distance and clinches up with Varela , looking for a takedown. Tyson pushes Varela against the cage but Varela circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Varela uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tyson has time to react.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Varela enables Tyson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Varela manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Tyson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Varela has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tyson is looking to defend but Varela has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tyson! Varela pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tyson taps out and this one is all over!
