The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
James Hannibal Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like James Hannibal Hogan has been cut.
Hannibal Hogan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Machado closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hannibal Hogan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Machado off and has taken his back!
Hannibal Hogan doesn't have the hooks in and Machado manages to turn into his guard.

Hannibal Hogan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Machado's guard.
Machado manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Hannibal Hogan is in a horrible position here. Machado smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
James Hannibal Hogan's cut is getting worse.
Machado postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Hannibal Hogan in real trouble here! The ref calls for Hannibal Hogan to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
