Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Axis (ranked 24505 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wei Jing (ranked 6280 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roy Axis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wei Jing! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Axis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Roy Axis has been cut. Axis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jing scores with a nice head shot. Some wild striking there from Jing.
Nice shot by Jing. Jing lands a head shot. Axis really is a fat lump. Jing jabs Axis right on the nose. Axis blinks but takes it well.
Roy Axis's cut is getting worse. A decent looking cross lands there for Jing. Good exchange - Jing coming out on top. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A cross from Jing lands. Jing has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. A swing and a miss from Jing. A quick step to the side and Axis tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Jing scores with a decent looking hook. Jing tests Axis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jing lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Jing fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Jing lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Jing lands a big right hand that sends Axis crashing to the mat! Jing stays standing though and waves Axis back to his feet! Axis walks straight into a right hand from Jing - that's dropped him! Jing jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Axis from any more punishment! Axis complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Wei Jing!
