Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Patton (ranked 2143 p4p, 90 weight class) and Baltasar Halko (ranked 2075 p4p, 89 weight class). Patton comes to the cage accompanied by Keep your hands to yourself- Georgia Satellites. Halko is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Lumberjack by Jackyl. George Patton has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Patton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baltasar Halko!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Patton. That did some damage!
Halko looks to land a combination but Patton avoids it well.
Halko misses with a low kick.
Patton misses with an uppercut.
Halko doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Halko tries to score with a low kick but Patton moves his leg out of the way.
Halko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Patton swivels and escapes.
Halko fails to land with a series of punches.
Patton was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Halko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Halko showed some decent athleticism there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Patton is trying to stand up here but Halko is controlling him well.

Patton is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

It looks like George Patton has been cut.

Halko looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Halko is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Patton can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Halko needs to keep his hands up - Patton had a free shot at his head there.
Patton ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Halko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

We've been told by Patton's head coaches at Tayne's 4d3d3d3 Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Patton scores with the left hand. Halko knows he should have avoided that one.

It looked like Patton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

That was a close round but I would say that George Patton will probably get the nod.

Halko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Patton manages to avoid it.
Halko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Halko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Halko is still on wobbly legs! Can Patton finish him?
Patton cracks Halko with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Halko tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Patton pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Halko is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Patton!
Our winner, George Patton, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
