Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivas on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Woods. Woods obviously looking to wear him down.
Woods tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rivas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rivas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Woods as he avoids it easily.
Rivas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Woods misses with a body punch
and Rivas counters with a series of strikes. Woods will be more careful next time no doubt.
Rivas avoids the head kick by Woods.
Rivas drops down looking for a counter takedown but Woods sprawls and moves away.
Woods shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rivas kicks Woods off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rivas goes for a double leg but Woods avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Woods continues to drive forward.
Woods steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Rivas.
Rivas fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tod Rivas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Woods connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Tod Rivas has been cut.

Woods looking to score a takedown here. Rivas is defending well but Woods drives through and ends up in Rivas's guard.
Rivas uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Rivas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Woods gets to his feet. Rivas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Oh Rivas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Woods closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rivas! Woods dives in looking to finish! Rivas is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tywan Woods!
