The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Al Khuzeem defends it nicely.
Hamada tries to clinch but Al Khuzeem is having none of it.
Al Khuzeem dives in and scores a takedown into Hamada's guard.
Al Khuzeem makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Al Khuzeem wants to pass the guard but Hamada is keeping the position.
Hamada wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Al Khuzeem is now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Al Khuzeem is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hamada throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Hamada tries to get to full guard but Al Khuzeem has control of the leg.
Al Khuzeem is trying to work for a kimura but Hamada is defending well.
Hamada is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Al Khuzeem pulls his head out easily.
Al Khuzeem lands with a punch from half guard.

Al Khuzeem drops an elbow to the side of Hamada's head.

Hamada is trying to maintain the position but Al Khuzeem is very close to passing his half guard.
Hamada wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hamada scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Al Khuzeem manages to mount him!
Al Khuzeem wants to stand but Hamada is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Al Khuzeem connects with a nice short shot to Hamada's temple.
Al Khuzeem wants to pass to mount but Hamada is defending the position.
Al Khuzeem moves into full mount! Hamada won't be happy about that!
Hamada throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Al Khuzeem avoids the attempt from Hamada to control.
Hamada working to try and regain half guard.

Al Khuzeem wants to finish this one by submission but Hamada is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Al Khuzeem.
Al Khuzeem working for a guillotine from mount but Hamada is in no mood to give up.
Hamada gets back to half guard.
Hamada is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Al Khuzeem's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Al Khuzeem's back!
Al Khuzeem trying to control the hands but Hamada won't let him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hamada has managed to slip his arm under Al Khuzeem's chin. This could be all over... yep, Al Khuzeem is tapping out! Submission win for Hamada.
