Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Choong Il Lee (ranked 5738 p4p, 0 weight class) and Branimir Wolf (ranked 5669 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Choong Il Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Branimir Wolf! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wolfs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Wolf misses with the combination.
Wolf clinches. Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wolf was covering up waiting for the punch and Lee finishes the takedown easily into guard. Wolf is trying to control the position but Lee postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wolf pulls Lee in close to his closed guard and prevents Lee from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee preventing the sweep. Lee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lee wants to control from the top but Wolf keeps moving. Lee tries to stand but Wolf is controlling from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Wolf pulls Lee in close to prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wolf clinches up with Lee and pushes him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wolf jumps guard but Lee turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Wolf changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wolf fails miserably with a takedown attempt. It looked like Lee was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Choong Il Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Branimir Wolf. Wolf takes a swing at Lee's ribcage but misses. Lee is looking to clinch but Wolf is avoiding it.
Lee's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wolf under the eye. Lee stuffs the takedown. Wolf defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lee. Wolf misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Wolf is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wolf, pushing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf tries to break free but Lee pushes him back against the cage. Lee stalling.

Wolf avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lee not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wolf for as long as he can get away with. Wolf is trying to keep Lee in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wolf is looking to stand up but Lee isn't so interested in that idea. Wolf keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully. Wolf has his foot on Lee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lee works his way back into a safe position though. Wolf throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wolf is looking for a triangle but Lee pushes his legs off easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Choong Il Lee will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Lee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lee is figuring out what he wants to do next. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee is looking to stall here but Wolf recovers full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolf lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Wolf is standing up over Lee. Lee looks to escape but Wolf dives into side control.
You can see the frustration on Lee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wolf controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wolf is continuing to stall. Branimir Wolf has got the better of the ground game so far. Lee gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Wolf scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Lee?

Wolf avoids the attempt from Lee to control. Wolf lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lee because Wolf loaded up on that one. Wolf goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lee turns into him and now he's in Wolf's guard.
Wolf is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wolf working for a triangle but Lee defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wolf is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wolf throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lee escapes and throws Wolf's legs to the side, diving into side control! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wolf is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Branimir Wolf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Lee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Wolf swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wolf tries to clinch up but Lee circles away and keeps his distance. Lee tries to clinch up. Lee tries to clinch there but Wolf circles away.
Lee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wolf. Wolf displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee looks for a takedown but Wolf sprawls well. Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolf gets a clinch. Lee is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wolf to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Choong Il Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wolf tries to score a body lock takedown but Lee shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Wolf has had enough of the clinch but Lee keeps him there for the moment. Lee breaks the clinch.

Wolf is trying to break free. Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wolf fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wolf shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Wolf's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wolf closes the distance and pushes Lee back into the cage. Wolf slows down the pace here.
Lee tries to pull guard but Wolf holds him up against the cage and eventually Lee drops back down to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee breaks the clinch.
Lee throws a leg kick and Wolf counters with a series of strikes. Lee will be more careful next time no doubt. Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wolf connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Wolf throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lee scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Wolf pushes him off. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wolf will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lee up against the cage. Lee keeps control of Wolf as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Wolf tries to pull guard but Lee holds him up against the cage and eventually Wolf drops back down to his feet.

Wolf drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lee gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wolf tries to break the clinch but Lee is controlling the position. Lee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wolf walks away with a smile on his face. Lee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Wolf throws a sloppy head kick and Lee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wolf scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Wolf dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Wolf's head and hops out. Lee scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wolf sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat.
And that's the end of the fight! Branimir Wolf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wolf has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
