Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Somm (ranked 5714 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harkon Volkihar (ranked 4870 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Dustin Somm has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dustin Somm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harkon Volkihar! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Somm tries to close the distance and clinch up but Volkihar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Somm looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Volkihar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Somm is trying to defend but Volkihar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Volkihar lands a nice short elbow. Volkihar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Somm with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Volkihar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Somm on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Volkihar lands strikes from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Volkihar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Volkihar looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Somm is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Somm has hold of Volkihar's hands but Volkihar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Oh Somm is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Volkihar is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Somm is hurt! He's hurt bad - Volkihar fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Somm from any more punishment! Congratulations to Volkihar! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harkon Volkihar! Harkon Volkihar spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
