Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Mcgee (ranked 5911 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Kronen (ranked 8778 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spencer Mcgee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erik Kronen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kronen tries to keep at a distance but Mcgee has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kronen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mcgee tries to score a body lock takedown but Kronen shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mcgee throws a head punch that misses.
Mcgee is trying to drag Kronen to the mat but Kronen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Mcgee is trying to force a seperation but Kronen has the dominant position.
Mcgee jumps guard but Kronen stands there with Mcgee around his waist. Mcgee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spencer Mcgee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mcgee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kronen gets caught napping as Mcgee dives in and scores a takedown. Kronen manages to retain guard.

Both fighters circling a little - Mcgee finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Mcgee could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mcgee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kronen sprawls well initially but Mcgee persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcgee working over Kronen with some ground and pound. Kronen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Kronen is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mcgee connects with a nice short shot to Kronen's temple.

Mcgee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kronen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mcgee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kronen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mcgee pulls Kronen into guard.
Mcgee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mcgee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kronen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kronen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mcgee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kronen gets caught flat footed, as Mcgee shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mcgee throws a strike but Kronen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Mcgee looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kronen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kronen wants to control from the top but Mcgee keeps moving.

Mcgee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mcgee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Mcgee throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kronen escapes and throws Mcgee's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Kronen is looking to take a break and control but Mcgee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kronen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mcgee has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mcgee is looking to reverse the position.

Spencer Mcgee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
