Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Moore (ranked 4017 p4p, 401 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 2546 p4p, 284 weight class). Moore's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The SHOW Must Go On. Howlett has chosen Push as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Howlett!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore lands with a nice combination. Howlett backs away looking to recover.
Joshua Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Howlett shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moore's guard.
Howlett stays in close to Moore's body and controls the position.

Moore has his foot on Howlett's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Howlett works his way back into a safe position though.
Moore can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Howlett controls the pace.
Howlett with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Howlett lands a couple of elbows.
Howlett stays in close to Moore's body and controls the position.
Howlett is working Moore over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Howlett slips nicely into half guard.
Howlett working over Moore with some ground and pound. Moore looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moore tries to roll over but Howlett keeps him under control.
Moore has hold of Howlett's hands but Howlett slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Nice strikes from Howlett there.
Moore is looking for a sweep. Howlett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Howlett tries to pass to full mount but Moore defends it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Moore actively working from the bottom here.
Howlett seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Howlett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Howlett slips a nice elbow through Moore's hands, connecting with Moore's forehead.
Howlett winds up and cracks Moore with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Howlett working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Well, if Howlett is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Howlett is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Howlett content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Howlett landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Howlett lands a nice short elbow.
Howlett slips a nice elbow through Moore's hands, connecting with Moore's forehead.
Howlett moves nicely into side control.
Howlett lands a few punches from side control.
Howlett working away.
Howlett grinds an elbow into Moore's temple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Howlett working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Moore wants to get back to his feet but Howlett drags him back down.
Moore is looking to regain half guard here but Howlett keeps moving and retains side control.
Moore taking a bit of punishment here - Howlett scoring with strikes.
Howlett looks up at the clock and then as Moore takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Howlett smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Moore is rocked!
A big shot lands for Howlett! That's hurt Moore! Will he recover? Howlett fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Howlett!
After winning the bout, James Howlett thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Joshua Moore stepped up to the mic, saying 'Tough fight, not the best Gym work and energy balance, next fight MUCH better !!'.
