Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Catford (ranked 6023 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Evela (ranked 6550 p4p, 0 weight class). Catford kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Justice - Genesis - †. Evela has chosen Face The Pain as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catford looks to score with a jab to the body but Evela is just out of range.
Evela fails with a takedown attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Catford misses the target.
Evela with a lazy takedown attempt
and Catford makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Evela darts in and clinches Catford up against the cage.
Evela blocks an uppercut.
Evela breaks the clinch.
Catford misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Evela dives in for a single leg takedown but Catford sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Adam Catford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Evela.

Evela looks to land a left hand but Catford moved out of range nicely.

Evela lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Catford circles away quickly and effectively.
Catford misses with a shot to the body
and Evela counters by clinching up.
A head punch on the inside from Catford fails to land.
Evela pulls guard successfully.
Evela has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Catford doesn't defend quickly enough and Evela has managed to lock this one up! Can Catford escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Evela on a fantastic submission victory.

In his post fight interview, Don Evela started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
