Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lethal (ranked 2051 p4p, 241 weight class) and Brendan Duff (ranked 2031 p4p, 238 weight class). Lethal comes to the cage accompanied by we're off to see the wizard. Duff is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Determined by Mudvayne. Matt Lethal has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duff looks to land a combination but Lethal avoids it well.
Duff throws a poor cross that misses
and Duff takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Duff misses with an uppercut.
Lethal throwing a counter right hand but Duff manages to avoid it.
Duff keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Duff pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lethal thinks about countering with a body kick.
Duff takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Brendan Duff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lethal displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Duff throws out the jab.

Lethal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A slapping body kick lands there for Lethal.
Lethal connects with a good right hand that stumbles Duff. Duff circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Duff ducks right into an uppercut from Lethal.
Duff takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Duff throws a hook but Lethal blocks it.
Lethal with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Duff throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Lethal lands a big head kick that sends Duff tumbling to the mat! Lethal takes a step backwards and waves Duff back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Duff is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Duff throws out a loose jab but Lethal uses good head movement to avoid it.
Duff is still on wobbly legs! Can Lethal finish him?
Lethal's jab looks to have found its range, popping Duff under the eye.
Duff might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Lethal avoids the head kick by Duff.
Lethal quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Duff throws a sloppy head kick and Lethal moves out of range easily.
Lethal missing with a left hand there. Duff was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Duff seems to have recovered his senses.
Duff looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Duff misses the jab.
Lethal throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Duff stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Duff crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lethal - the referee stops the clock and Duff gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lethal. Duff manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Lethal is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

A slapping body kick lands there for Lethal.
Duff looks winded!
Lethal gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lethal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Duff.

The crowd cheers as Lethal lands an impressive looking overhand right. Duff doesn't seem phased though.

Duff takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Duff takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Duff throws a hook to the side of Lethal's head but Lethal sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Duff is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Lethal digs a good hook to Duff's body.
Duff looks to throw the jab but Lethal is out of range.
Lethal swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Duff throws a shot from downtown. Lethal moves away and avoids it.
Lethal cracks Duff with a right hand to the side of the head.
Duff misses the jab.
Lethal lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Nice shot by Lethal.

Duff misses with a looping left.
Lethal ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lethal lunges at Duff with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Duff's hand.

Lethal sends Duff crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lethal is motioning to the referee to let Duff up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Lethal buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Duff misses with a straight right.
Duff misses with a wild combination.
And Lethal counters with a quick kick to the body but Duff blocks it.
Nice body kick from Lethal.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Duff throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Duff throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lethal sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lethal blocks a jab.
Lethal pushes Duff away with a front kick.
Lethal lands a nice looking body shot.
Lethal lets loose with a powerful body kick. Duff will feel that in the morning.
Lethal lands a really nice looking cross but Duff seems unphased.

Lethal lands a big uppercut and Duff crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Duff looks OK. Lethal waves Duff back to his feet!

Duff swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lethal counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lethal is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Lethal looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Duff circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Lethal. Duff falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Lethal!
