The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pakhomov swings for the body but Rivers moves out of range.
Rivers fails with a takedown attempt.
Pakhomov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Pakhomov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Pakhomov with a nice cross.
Rivers throws a head kick but Pakhomov moves out of range.
Rivers is looking to clinch.
It looked like Pakhomov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Rivers.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pakhomov darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Pakhomov sends Rivers crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pakhomov is motioning to the referee to let Rivers up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rivers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rivers throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Pakhomov counters with a nice body shot.
Rivers looks winded!

Pakhomov pounces like a tiger and cracks Rivers with a vicious hook! Rivers is down but not out! Pakhomov follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
