Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pettis (ranked 2651 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetrious Jorgensen (ranked 3071 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Anthony Pettis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anthony Pettis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Demetrious Jorgensen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Pettis does no damage. Jorgensen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pettis counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jorgensen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pettis is trying to defend but Jorgensen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jorgensen has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at London MMA Club. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Pettis wants to control but Jorgensen is keeping busy and won't allow it. Pettis slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jorgensen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jorgensen is trying to hold Pettis in close to prevent damage but Pettis has managed to pass into half guard.

Pettis is pushing Jorgensen's head away, looking to escape. Jorgensen manages to hold on to the position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jorgensen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pettis sneaks out the side door and pushes Jorgensen away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jorgensen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pettis did well to prevent Jorgensen getting side control. Pettis has one foot on Jorgensen's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Jorgensen walks into a straight right hand from Pettis. A slow jab from Pettis misses its intended target. Pettis misses with a double jab.
Jorgensen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pettis tries to avoid it but Jorgensen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pettis to the ground. Pettis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A little feinted left hand from Pettis on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jorgensen closes the distance and clinches up with Pettis, looking for a takedown. Jorgensen pushes Pettis against the cage but Pettis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Anthony Pettis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demetrious Jorgensen. Jorgensen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pettis. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jorgensen fails with the takedown and Pettis counters with a nice uppercut. Jorgensen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pettis counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jorgensen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pettis is fending him off so far but Jorgensen persists. Nope, Pettis circles away and we're back to standing. Jorgensen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pettis pinned against the cage. Pettis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jorgensen shoots in but no luck this time. Excellent takedown into side control there by Pettis. Pettis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Jorgensen is looking for a sweep.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jorgensen connects with a nice short shot to Pettis's temple.
Pettis is rocked! Jorgensen slips a nice elbow through Pettis's hands, connecting with Pettis's forehead. Oh Pettis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pettis wants to control but Jorgensen is keeping busy.
