Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ace Rob (ranked 3393 p4p, 162 weight class) and Claudio Gadelha (ranked 4453 p4p, 217 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 2 losses; Ace Rob! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 4 losses; Claudio Gadelha! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Gadelha tries to keep at a distance but Rob has taken the fight into the clinch. Gadelha goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rob prevents it.
Rob is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gadelha is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rob to the mat. Rob regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Rob (0) vs (2) Gadelha Rob working for a triangle but Gadelha defends it easily.
Gadelha looking to sit in guard and control but Rob gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gadelha has his foot on Rob's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rob works his way back into a safe position though. Rob passes into half guard. Rob is looking to take a break and control but Gadelha is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rob is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gadelha defends it well. Gadelha looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rob is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gadelha keeps working. Gadelha is defending against the submission attempts here by Rob.

Rob has hold of Gadelha's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gadelha manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gadelha sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Rob content to control rather than advance. Gadelha wants to control but Rob is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rob looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gadelha wants to improve his position but Rob is controlling well.
Gadelha works his way to full guard. Good work. We've been hearing good reports from Rob's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Rob got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gadelha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rob has managed to get both his arms back between Gadelha's legs - danger averted. Rob trying to control the position from guard on top but Gadelha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rob trying to move into half guard but instead Gadelha has managed to sweep! That's four minutes gone in the round. Rob tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gadelha wants to control from the top but Rob keeps moving. Gadelha looking to pass the guard. Rob looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rob seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Gadelha paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Gadelha's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Rob picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
