Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albashan Magomedrasulov (ranked 4639 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Gonzalez (ranked 8164 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albashan Magomedrasulov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan Gonzalez! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez darts in looking for a takedown but Magomedrasulov gets double underhooks and turns Gonzalez into the cage. Magomedrasulov closes the distance and clinches. Magomedrasulov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gonzalez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Magomedrasulov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gonzalez fails with the takedown and Magomedrasulov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Magomedrasulov sitting and controlling from the half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Magomedrasulov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gonzalez's head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Magomedrasulov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gonzalez for as long as he can get away with. Gonzalez won't allow Magomedrasulov to pass to mount.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Magomedrasulov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Magomedrasulov grinds an elbow into Gonzalez's temple. Magomedrasulov is looking to take a break and control but Gonzalez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Magomedrasulov is chipping away with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Magomedrasulov tries for a kimura but Gonzalez is defending well. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gonzalez is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Gonzalez is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gonzalez seems a little lost for a moment, as Magomedrasulov dominates the positioning. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Gonzalez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Magomedrasulov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Magomedrasulov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gonzalez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Magomedrasulov.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A combination from Magomedrasulov does no damage. Magomedrasulov tried to score with a low kick but Gonzalez checks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Albashan Magomedrasulov dominated that round. That's time! Magomedrasulov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Magomedrasulov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Magomedrasulov is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Magomedrasulov is pressing down on Gonzalez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gonzalez is holding on for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Magomedrasulov prevents Gonzalez from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Magomedrasulov wants to control but Gonzalez is keeping him busy.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Gonzalez tries to clinch but Magomedrasulov moves out of range. Magomedrasulov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gonzalez struggling a bit here. Magomedrasulov just content to control the position. Magomedrasulov wants to stand but Gonzalez is controlling his arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Magomedrasulov working away. Magomedrasulov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gonzalez tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Gonzalez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Magomedrasulov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gonzalez is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Gonzalez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gonzalez is looking to regain half guard here but Magomedrasulov keeps moving and retains side control. Magomedrasulov is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Magomedrasulov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gonzalez has escaped the position, nice work there. Magomedrasulov working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Magomedrasulov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gonzalez's shoulder. That is not cool. Magomedrasulov is looking to take a break and control but Gonzalez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Albashan Magomedrasulov dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Magomedrasulov shoots in for a takedown but Gonzalez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gonzalez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Magomedrasulov clinches. A shot in the inside from Magomedrasulov. Magomedrasulov tightens his grip and picks Gonzalez up, before dumping him to the ground. Gonzalez manages to land in guard. Magomedrasulov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Magomedrasulov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonzalez on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Magomedrasulov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Magomedrasulov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Gonzalez looking for a sweep. Not yet Gonzalez, not yet. Magomedrasulov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Magomedrasulov looking to sit in guard and control but Gonzalez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Magomedrasulov is pulling down on Gonzalez's head. It's preventing any offense from Gonzalez, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Magomedrasulov is trying to control the position but Gonzalez postures up. Magomedrasulov keeping moving, preventing Gonzalez from controlling successfully. Magomedrasulov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gonzalez escapes and throws Magomedrasulov's legs to the side, diving into side control! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Magomedrasulov manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Gonzalez throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Magomedrasulov manages to pass to side control. Albashan Magomedrasulov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gonzalez is trying to control Magomedrasulov's posture but Magomedrasulov avoids it. Magomedrasulov looking to control but instead Gonzalez has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Magomedrasulov stalling. Magomedrasulov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gonzalez's head.

Magomedrasulov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gonzalez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Gonzalez wants to get back to full guard. Magomedrasulov throwing shots but Gonzalez is blocking nicely. Magomedrasulov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gonzalez trying to control here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Juan Gonzalez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Albashan Magomedrasulov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Magomedrasulov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gonzalez napping and manages to drive through into side control!
And that's the end of the fight! Albashan Magomedrasulov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Magomedrasulov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
