The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane gets a clinch.
Lane softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Lane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Baya shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lane counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lane.
Lane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baya closes the distance and clinches up with Lane, looking for a takedown. Baya pushes Lane against the cage but Lane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lane tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Baya manages to circle out of the way.

Baya dives in and grabs Lane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lane pushes down on Baya's head and hops out.
Lane tries to bum rush Baya with a series of wild strikes but Baya uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Baya tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lane attempts a counter takedown but Baya avoids it well and moves away.

Lane stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lane moves into range and clinches up with Baya.
Lane content to slow the pace in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baya wants to stand and escape but instead Lane has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
