Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atakan Arslan (ranked 7371 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maykol Yurk (ranked 3790 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arslan shoots in looking for a takedown but Yurk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Arslan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Arslan throws a head kick that misses.
Arslan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Arslan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Yurk sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Yurk tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Arslan defends well and Yurk ends up having to push Arslan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Yurk lands with an uppercut that bounces Arslan off the cage and back into range.

Arslan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yurk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Arslan somewhat.

Horrible takedown attempt by Yurk or perhaps it was just good defense by Arslan, which made it look bad.

Well Yurk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
