The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farrell has a takedown stuffed.
Smith clinches up with Farrell and pushes him back against the cage.
Farrell tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Smith avoiding damage as Farrell throws knees to the body.
Farrell is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Smith is defending well for now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Farrell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith is in Farrell's guard.

Smith wants to pass the guard but Farrell is keeping the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Farrell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Smith wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Farrell gets to his feet - Smith follows without any prompting.

Smith clinches up against the cage.
Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Farrell gets tackled into the cage by Smith. Smith maintains the clinch.
Smith breaks from the clinch.
Farrell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Farrell off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hai Farrell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Farrell to the mat! Farrell manages to get full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Farrell manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Farrell isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Smith stacks Farrell on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Smith!

Farrell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Smith looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Farrell tries to reverse the position but Smith maintains control.

Smith controlling from the full mount.
Smith trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Smith scoring with strikes but Farrell is staying in there.
Farrell wants to control but Smith is having none of it.
Smith lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Smith landing strikes from the mount and Farrell is in trouble!

Oh Farrell is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Farrell covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
