The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rowe is looking to clinch but Anderson is avoiding it.
Rowe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rowe fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Liam Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rowe tried to score with a low kick but Anderson checks it. Rowe backing away here, and Anderson unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Rowe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Anderson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Rowe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rowe working a defensive guard here.
Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rowe looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Anderson passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson lands with a punch from half guard. Rowe is trying to get back to full guard. Rowe is working hard here to advance position. Anderson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Rowe trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Anderson lands a nice short elbow. Rowe trying to control from the bottom.
Rowe has hold of Anderson's hands but Anderson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Rowe is staying active underneath Anderson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Anderson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Anderson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rowe to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rowe shrugs it off. Anderson trying to control but Rowe is having none of it. Anderson lands a couple of good shots and Rowe has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowe is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Anderson looking to break Rowe's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Rowe remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Anderson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Rowe wants to escape the position.
Anderson is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Rowe manages to reverse the position and now he's in Anderson's guard. Nice work there by Rowe.
Rowe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Anderson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Rowe throws a strike but Anderson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rowe controls Anderson momentarily but Anderson frees himself. Rowe wants to improve his position but instead Anderson has moved into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rowe keeps working. Anderson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Liam Anderson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Anderson clinches. Rowe ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rowe no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Anderson wants to control from the top but Rowe keeps moving. Anderson stopping the sweep attempt from Rowe. Rowe has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Anderson has passed into side control.
Anderson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rowe is looking for a sweep. Anderson tries to stand but Rowe is controlling his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rowe keeps working. Anderson wants to stand but Rowe has his arm trapped. Anderson controlling the position. Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rowe, who protects the arm well. Anderson working the ground and pound from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rowe is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Anderson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Anderson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rowe doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anderson. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Anderson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Anderson wants to control but Rowe is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowe gets back to full guard.
Anderson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rowe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rowe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rowe wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Anderson manages to pass to side control. Anderson is pressing down on Rowe's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rowe is holding on for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rowe is defending against the submission attempts here by Anderson.
Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rowe keeps working. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Anderson connects with a nice short shot to Rowe's temple. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rowe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Anderson is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Liam Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Rowe slaps away a takedown attempt from Anderson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rowe swats away the attempt to clinch by Anderson. Anderson throws a head kick but Rowe moves out of range.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Anderson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rowe throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. You can see the frustration on Rowe's face as Anderson controls the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Rowe throws a head kick that misses and Anderson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rowe's guard. Anderson drops back looking for a leg! Rowe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rowe manages to kick Anderson off! Anderson jumps back into Rowe's guard. Rowe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anderson manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rowe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowe won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet. Rowe makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Anderson is looking for a triangle here but Rowe uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Anderson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Anderson wants to control but Rowe postures up. Anderson trying to remain calm as Rowe controls from the top position. Anderson dodges the ground and pound from Rowe. Rowe scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Anderson to see if he's OK. Rowe throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Anderson is trying to buck Rowe off. Rowe decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rowe wants to land a leg kick but Anderson is out of range. Anderson shoots in and drives through. Rowe sprawls well. Rowe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Anderson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Rowe tries a head kick but it misses.

Rowe throws a leg kick and Anderson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rowe's guard. Charley Rowe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Liam Anderson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Rowe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Charley Rowe. I think Anderson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
