Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Olin Poole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ash Road! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poole changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Road tries to avoid it but Poole manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Road to the ground. Road escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Road decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Poole really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that Road has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Poole trying to control from the bottom.
Road slows the pace down in half guard. Road tries to pass the half guard into mount. Poole knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poole wants to control but Road is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Road breaks from Poole's wrist control and lands an elbow. Poole is bucking up trying to escape but Road cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Road is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Poole has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Road has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Poole's face.
Poole is rocked! Poole knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Road on the ground. Road tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poole in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Oh Poole is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Road controlling the pace for now. Oooooh, big shot lands for Road! Poole is hurt baaadly! Road is firing away with more strikes - Poole is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ash Road!
