Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Smell Finger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaffa Cake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cake comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finger misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cake punishes Finger's body with a nice straight punch. Finger looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Cake is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Finger wants to control from the top but Cake keeps moving. Cake is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Finger trying to control the position from guard on top but Cake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cake is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Finger is controlling him. Finger is stalling in the full guard. Cake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Finger is one step ahead there. Finger wants to pass the guard but Cake is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cake wants to stand and escape but Finger is having none of it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Finger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Finger's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Cake can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Finger controls the pace. Finger trying to control the position from guard on top but Cake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Finger wants to pass the guard but Cake is keeping the position. Finger is working hard here to advance position. Finger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cake wants to sweep here but Finger controlling him for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fighters circle momentarily. Cake darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Cake comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Cake shoots and misses and Finger counters with a single leg into guard. Cake didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cake is looking to stand up but Finger isn't so interested in that idea. Cake utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cake is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Finger won't allow Cake to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finger forces his way into half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Finger is taking a breather. Cake says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Finger is pressing down on Cake's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cake is holding on for now. Cake has one foot on Finger's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Finger drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Cake utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cake has momentary wrist control but Finger slips an elbow through the middle. Finger pushing down on Cake's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Finger is breathing heavily. Finger looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Cake tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Finger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Finger with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Finger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cake's head. Cake wants to get back to his feet. Finger is trying to work for a kimura but Cake is defending well.
Finger wants to pass the guard but Cake is defending well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cake comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Cake scores with a punch to the head.
It looks like Smell Finger has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Finger takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Finger tries to move into range but Cake moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Finger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jaffa Cake will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Smell Finger's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cake darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Finger wants to control but Cake is keeping busy and won't allow it. Cake is taking a breather. Finger says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cake wants to stand but Finger has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Cake wants to control but Finger is keeping him busy. Cake looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Finger is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cake's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cake's back! Cake has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Finger has the hooks in. Cake is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cake breaks Finger's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Finger trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Cake preventing the sweep. Finger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cake trying to control but Finger is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cake misses with an attempted mid kick.
Cake connects with the punch. Cake keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cake wants to clinch but Finger slips to the side and Finger counters with a takedown into side control. Cake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Finger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cake is trying to control Finger's posture but Finger avoids it. Cake regains half guard. Cake is looking for a sweep. Finger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Finger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Finger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cake keeping hold of Finger's head, controlling as best he can. Cake avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Finger. Finger looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cake pushes Finger off looking to stand but Finger dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cake keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cake is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Finger. A combination from Cake does no damage. Finger shoots for a double leg takedown but Cake sprawls well. He's pushed Finger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Smell Finger. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Cake, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cake lunges at Finger with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Finger's hand. Cake throws a right and a left that both miss. Cake uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Finger has time to react. Finger scores with a takedown into Cake's guard. Cake tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cake is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Finger stays in close to Cake's body and controls the position. Finger trying to control but Cake is working from the bottom. Smell Finger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jaffa Cake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Smell Finger's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Finger drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cake manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Finger has Cake in his guard. Finger trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Cake must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Finger is trying to keep Cake in close.
Cake wanted to stand there but Finger had control of the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finger trying to keep a closed guard but Cake is proving a slippery customer.
Cake wants to get up but he can't break Finger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Finger is looking for a triangle but Cake pushes his legs off easily.

Smell Finger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cake tries to land a front kick but Finger steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Cake scores with a jab to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fight stays on the outside here - Cake looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jaffa Cake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cake moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Cake scores with a one two! Finger had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Cake misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Finger.
Cake ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Finger moves away. A combination from Cake does no damage. Cake dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Finger shoots for a takedown but Cake saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cake feints and then dives in with a takedown. Cake makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Cake changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Cake misses with a head kick.
