Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damien James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Ledermacher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damien James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik Ledermacher!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ledermacher dodges the punch combination from James.
James takes one to the side of the head.
Ledermacher shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense.
Ledermacher shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ledermacher misses with a takedown attempt - James sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Damien James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Ledermacher.

James gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Ledermacher wants to break the clinch but can't.
Still in the clinch, James scores with a nice short uppercut.

James thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

James tries for a kimura but Ledermacher is defending well.
Ledermacher is trying to get back to half guard.
James scoring with punches and elbows.

Ledermacher avoids any damage from the ground and pound of James.
James scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ledermacher to see if he's OK.
Ledermacher wants to get back to his feet but James drags him back down.
James lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Ledermacher is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
James cracks Ledermacher with a big elbow.
Ledermacher looks gassed!
The strikes coming from James are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Ledermacher takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ledermacher wants to control but James postures up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
James lands a decent elbow from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

James tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ledermacher struggling a bit here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
James is working Ledermacher over with some ground and pound from side control.
James lands an elbow.

James tries for a kimura but Ledermacher is defending well.
James scoring with punches and elbows.
James works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

James is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ledermacher has escaped the position, nice work there.
James works to advance to full mount. Ledermacher defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
James looking to finish Ledermacher with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ledermacher!
James breaks from Ledermacher's wrist control and lands an elbow.
James cracks Ledermacher with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

James looking to secure an arm triangle but Ledermacher defends it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ledermacher is in a horrible position here. James smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
James landing strikes from the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damien James dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ledermacher clinches but James breaks the clinch

and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ledermacher's guard.
James forces his way into half guard.

James in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ledermacher tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from James!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Damien James!
