Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Datsik (ranked 3168 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Koreshkov (ranked 4443 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donnie Datsik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Koreshkov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Datsik lands a nice leg kick that just misses Koreshkov's sensitive parts.
Datsik thuds his right hand into Koreshkov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Datsik throws a good cross that connects.
Datsik stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Koreshkov has his foot on Datsik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Datsik works his way back into a safe position though.

Datsik remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
