The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novac shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aldarov napping and manages to drive through into side control!
What's Aldarov going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Aldarov is looking for a sweep. Novac is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
