And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrew Cabral!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perkins closes the distance and clinches.
Perkins comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Cabral told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Perkins manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Perkins throws a knee to the head but misses.
Cabral is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Perkins is defending well.
Perkins utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Perkins gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Andrew Cabral has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cabral dodges an elbow strike from Perkins.
Perkins lands an elbow just above Cabral 's eye.
Perkins is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Perkins content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Perkins is pushing Cabral up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Perkins comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Perkins lands a good knee to the midsection. Cabral won't want to take too many of those.

Perkins's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Perkins has Cabral pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Cabral is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Perkins - that's hurt Cabral badly! Oh, another knee lands and Cabral is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Cabral doesn't seem to be complaining.
