Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Quick (ranked 3697 p4p, 481 weight class) and Liam James (ranked 4192 p4p, 537 weight class). James has chosen Come To Daddy by Aphex Twin as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Quick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liam James! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Quick. Quick obviously looking to wear him down.
Quick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
James scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Quick with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling James to score with a decent uppercut. Quick throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Quick tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance. Quick looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely. James fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Quick on the side of the head. Quick rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and James cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A cross from James lands. This has been an exciting period of action! Quick throws a head kick that misses and James counters with a two punch combo. James keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mike Quick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quick scores with a head kick.
Quick takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Quick tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center. Quick throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by James. Quick lands a big head kick that sends James tumbling to the mat! Quick takes a step backwards and waves James back to his feet - he wants the finish!
James is rocked! A jab lands there for James. Quick takes a body punch but keeps moving. James connects with a good right hand that stumbles Quick. Quick circles away out of range and recomposes himself. James's jab looks to have found its range, popping Quick under the eye.
That's one minute gone in the round. James scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. James cracks Quick with an open hand slap. James jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
James might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. James fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. James scores with a shot to the body.
Quick throws a sloppy head kick and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Quick tries to clinch but James is having none of it. Quick takes a body punch but keeps moving. Quick is breathing heavily. James lands with a cross. James closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Quick is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Quick throws a body kick that misses enabling James to counter with a crisp jab. Oh Quick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Quick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Quick seems to have got his legs back now. Quick wants to clinch. Quick throws a lazy head kick and James counters with a lovely shot to the body. James scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Quick takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quick misses with a head kick.
Quick takes a jab right on the kisser.
James scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. James lands a nice hook to Quick's body. Quick takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. James misses with a series of wild punches.
Quick gets cracked with a nice right hand there by James. James cracks Quick with a good jab. James comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. James is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Quick had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Quick tries to grapple but his opponent circles and James counters with a stiff right hand. James lands with an uppercut that bounces Quick off the cage and back into range. James lands with a straight right. Quick didn't see that one coming. James lands a right hook to the body.
A cross from James lands. James fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Quick gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! James gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Quick is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liam James! A very excited looking Liam James made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
