Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Titus Branch (ranked 7715 p4p, 580 weight class) and Roy Jones Gracie (ranked 6197 p4p, 529 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Titus Branch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Jones Gracie!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Branch pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie is looking for a takedown.
Branch keeps control of Gracie as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gracie goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gracie is trying to pull guard but Branch has him pressed against the cage.
Gracie can't get the takedown.
Titus Branch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Jones Gracie.
Branch blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Gracie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Branch just stands there and leans against the cage.

Gracie prevents a takedown attempt there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Branch manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Branch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Branch manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Branch's guard.
Branch wants to sweep but no luck.

We've been hearing reports that Branch has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Some wild striking there from Branch.
Titus Branch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Branch pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gracie throws out a powerful jab.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nice uppercut there from Branch.
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Branch counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Gracie jumps guard but Branch turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Branch obliges.
Gracie misses with a short punch on the inside.
Gracie throws a punch but it's blocked by Branch.
Branch prevents the takedown attempt.
Branch goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gracie prevents it.
Branch jumps into guard, dragging Gracie to the mat.

Branch is looking to stand up but Gracie isn't so interested in that idea.

Gracie advances to half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie prevents Branch from improving his position.
Branch is looking to control Gracie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Branch avoid being mounted?
Branch looking for submissions off his back.
Branch wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie trying to control the pace.
Branch trying to control here.
Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Branch is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.
Branch wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Titus Branch dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Branch is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Branch circles away and we're back to standing.
As Gracie tries to get set, Branch tries to push him back and clinch up but Gracie manages to avoid the attempt.
Gracie checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Branch drops his hands momentarily and Gracie takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gracie tests Branch's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Branch tries a head kick but it misses.
Gracie lands a really nice looking cross but Branch seems unphased.
Gracie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Branch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Branch is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around?
Gracie throws a right and a left that Branch avoids nicely.
Branch tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Branch clobbers Gracie with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Gracie misses with an uppercut. Branch saw that one coming.
As Gracie looks to move away, Branch throws a big counter combo but Gracie just gets out of the way.
Danga de danga de dang - Branch scores with a four punch combination!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Branch misses with a double jab.
Branch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
Gracie misses the shot to the body.
A swing and a miss from Gracie.
Branch uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
Branch fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gracie, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Branch slowing the pace effectively.
Branch has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gracie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Branch.
Gracie breaks from the clinch.
Gracie blocks a head kick by Branch.
Gracie with the counter takedown but Branch avoids it easily.
Gracie misses with a hook. Branch ducked under it nicely.
Gracie avoids the head kick by Branch.
Branch throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Gracie to counter with a crisp jab.
Titus Branch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Branch fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gracie.
Branch lands a nice shot that snaps Gracie's head back.
A jab from Branch misses.
Gracie jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Titus Branch has been cut.
Branch takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Branch scores with a one two! Gracie had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Gracie passes Branch's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Oh Branch is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Branch is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
