Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tallahassee Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hall's choice of entrance music: Ruler of the World.. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins feints and as Hall raises his hands in defense, Jenkins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jenkins stands up and waves to Hall to follow him.
Hall misses with a takedown attempt

and Jenkins moves into the clinch.
Hall is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Jenkins jumps guard and drags Hall to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jenkins lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hall!

Jenkins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hall for as long as he can get away with.

Jenkins is trying to drag Hall to the mat but Hall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Jenkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jenkins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jenkins's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Hall throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Jenkins passes Hall's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jenkins slips a nice elbow through Hall's hands, connecting with Hall's forehead.
Jenkins looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Still in half guard, Jenkins seems content to control.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tallahassee Jenkins just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Hall tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jenkins's elbow.
Hall tries for a takedown but Jenkins manages to get underhooks.

Jenkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hall is fending him off so far but Jenkins persists. Nope, Hall circles away and we're back to standing.

Jenkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hall pinned against the cage. Hall gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jenkins fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hall drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jenkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hall manages to get himself to full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Hall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hall showed some decent athleticism there.
Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jenkins manages to get to full guard.
Jenkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hall wants to improve his position but Jenkins is controlling well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hall wants to clinch

and Jenkins counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hall won't be happy with that.
Hall is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jenkins asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Jenkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Jenkins stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Jenkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hall to the mat! Hall manages to get full guard.

Jenkins throws a strike but Hall rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
