Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dominic Donnelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Simple Jack! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jack pivots, looking for a leg kick but Donnelly is out of range and Jack settles back down. Donnelly bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jack's head. Donnelly lands with a shot to the body. Jack throws a hook but Donnelly blocks it. Donnelly cracks the inside of Jack's front leg. Donnelly throws a body kick that misses. Donnelly takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jack throws a hook but Donnelly avoids it easily. Jack throws an overhand right that lands on Donnelly's shoulder, as Donnelly tries to avoid the shot. Jack lands a lovely overhand right. Donnelly rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jack moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Donnelly slips under a jab from Jack. Nice uppercut there from Jack. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Donnelly lands a head shot. Jack takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Jack blocks a jab. Donnelly defending well as Jack loads up on a big left hand. Jack with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Donnelly to score with a decent uppercut. Donnelly throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Donnelly lands with a nice body punch. We've been told by Donnelly's head coaches at Hardpunch (13 Elite / 1000$ that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Donnelly moves away. Donnelly misses the body punch and Jack counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Donnelly throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Donnelly misses the jab. Jack steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Donnelly. Donnelly looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A right-left combo lands from Donnelly. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A swing and a miss from Jack.

Jack bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Donnelly's head. Donnelly tries to bum rush Jack with a series of wild strikes but Jack uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Donnelly gets off balance looking for a body kick and Jack counters by moving into the clinch. Jack lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Donnelly throws an elbow that misses.

Jack throws the left hand but Donnelly avoids the punch easily. Donnelly moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack wants to counter the offense by Donnelly and move into the clinch position. Donnelly lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jack circles away quickly and effectively. Donnelly cracks the inside of Jack's front leg. Sloppy strikes from Donnelly. Those never looked like landing. Jack throws a poor cross that misses
and Donnelly counters with a stiff right hand. Donnelly throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jack finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
As Jack looks to move away, Donnelly throws a big counter combo but Jack just gets out of the way. Jack takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Dominic Donnelly is winning the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Jack turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Donnelly throws a chopping leg kick but Jack manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Jack has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jack throws a series of punches but Donnelly avoids them all with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Donnelly swings and misses with a shot to the body and Jack counters with a stiff right hand. Donnelly takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Jack steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Donnelly. Donnelly takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Donnelly misses with an uppercut. Jack throws a hook but Donnelly avoids it easily. Jack misses with a wild body shot. Nice body punch from Donnelly. Donnelly tries to throw a body punch but Jack avoids it by throwing Donnelly back against the cage. Donnelly misses with a hook from the clinch. A short left from Donnelly. Donnelly lands with a short punch from the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dominic Donnelly. Well Donnelly has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
