Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Macho Man Savage (ranked 5485 p4p, 543 weight class) and Evander Boston (ranked 21262 p4p, 666 weight class). Evander Boston will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boston avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Savage jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Savage throws a series of strikes that have Boston backpedaling.
Savage misses with a looping right.
Savage chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Boston can pounce on him.

Boston gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Savage is trying to force a seperation but Boston has the dominant position.

Boston has Savage pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Boston pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Savage tumbling to the mat - Boston dives into Savage's guard.

Boston cracks Savage with a solid left hand.
Savage can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boston controls the pace.

Savage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boston doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boston manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Savage has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boston can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Boston stands and steps away. Savage gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Savage looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Boston tries to move into range but Savage moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Savage throws a left and a right that both miss

and Boston moves into the clinch.
Boston tries for a takedown but Savage manages to get underhooks.

Boston escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boston tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Savage swats away the attempt to clinch by Boston.
Boston keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Savage.
Boston thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Savage if he has to take too many more of those.
Savage throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Boston counters with a left and a right that stings Savage.
Savage shoots and misses

and Boston counters with a crisp right hand that drops Savage! Boston lets Savage back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Savage is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Boston! Savage is out on his feet! Boston rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Savage is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Savage is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
