Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xafan Kong (ranked 615 p4p, 96 weight class) and Gobal Batra (ranked 1159 p4p, 184 weight class). Kong comes to the cage accompanied by Demon's Theme. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Batra was well out of range. Poor timing from Kong.
Batra has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kong fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Batra looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

I was talking to Kong's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Xafan Kong will probably get the nod.

Batra seems to have recovered his senses.
Batra takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That kick from Kong tenderised Batra's leg. Batra is trying to keep his angry face on.

and Kong counters with a two punch combo.

Xafan Kong showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kong has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Xafan Kong was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
