Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Siesta (ranked 6409 p4p, 567 weight class) and Chief Bear (ranked 7019 p4p, 592 weight class). The key to victory for Donnie Siesta has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Donnie Siesta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chief Bear! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siesta lands with an overhand left. Siesta misses the shot to the body. Siesta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bear will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bear tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Siesta defends well and Bear ends up having to push Siesta into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Siesta is looking to counter punch. Bear needs to keep his hands up - Siesta had a free shot at his head there. Donk. Siesta catches Bear right on the button with a cross. Siesta jabs Bear right on the nose. Bear blinks but takes it well. Bear takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bear shoots in and gets a takedown into Siesta's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bear postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bear working some strikes from top position. Siesta seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Siesta looking to control.
Bear with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bear's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Siesta trying to control the position.
Bear content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Siesta wants to stand up but Bear is controlling him. Bear is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Bear postures up.

Bear postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Siesta covers up, he's hurt! Bear keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bear and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bear can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Bear! Chief Bear bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
