Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bob McDonald (ranked 1397 p4p, 53 weight class) and Jason Imbert (ranked 2578 p4p, 94 weight class). McDonald comes to the cage accompanied by The Fabulous Thunderbirds - Tuff Enuff. Jim Bob McDonald has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Imbert!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Imbert misses with a looping left.
Imbert throws a series of punches but McDonald avoids them all with ease.
Imbert keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Imbert! But no joy.
McDonald moves out of range of the strikes.
Imbert misses with a looping right.
Imbert jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Imbert misses with a straight left.
Nice body punch from McDonald.
McDonald rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Imbert counter with a right hand.
McDonald lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Jason Imbert has been cut.
Imbert scores with a jab. McDonald acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Imbert throws a poor cross that misses
and McDonald counters with a left and a right that stings Imbert.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Imbert throws a big shot that misses.
Imbert throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Imbert looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Imbert slips under a jab from McDonald.
Imbert walks into a stiff left hand from McDonald.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Imbert scores with a jab to the jaw.
McDonald fails to land with a series of punches.
McDonald scores with a shot to the body.
McDonald uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Imbert.
McDonald throws a hook but Imbert blocks it.
Imbert tests McDonald's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Imbert feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McDonalds jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
McDonald lands a big shot that drops Imbert! Can he finish him?
Imbert is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Imbert looking to control but McDonald passes into half guard.
McDonald lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Imbert quite badly. Imbert pulls McDonald in close trying to recover. McDonald postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Imbert on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Imbert doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Bob McDonald!
After the fight, Jim Bob McDonald was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
