Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daichi Kishimoto (ranked 401 p4p, 13 weight class) and Glass Joe (ranked 1072 p4p, 54 weight class). Joe has chosen Rocky Theme as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daichi Kishimoto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Glass Joe! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Darius Henderson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kishimoto counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kishimoto loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kishimoto looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kishimoto is working hard here to advance position. Kishimoto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kishimoto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kishimoto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kishimoto trying to control but Joe is working from the bottom. Kishimoto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Joe is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kishimoto wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving. Joe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kishimoto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kishimoto preventing the sweep. Kishimoto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Joe manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kishimoto has Joe in his guard.
Joe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kishimoto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joe has managed to get both his arms back between Kishimoto's legs - danger averted. Kishimoto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Joe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Joe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kishimoto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Joe is posturing up here but Kishimoto has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Joe tries to roll out but it's too tight and Joe has to tap! Slick submission there by Kishimoto!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Daichi Kishimoto! Daichi Kishimoto retains his bantamweight title! Daichi Kishimoto decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. Glass Joe was interviewed post fight and said 'Daichi Kishimoto is a great fighter and will be holding this belt for a long time.'.
