Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mickey Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bol Strike!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Diaz throws a series of punches but Strike moves out of range.
Strike changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Strike misses with a series of wild punches.
Sloppy strikes from Diaz. Those never looked like landing.

Strike pushes Diaz up against the cage in a clinch.
Diaz blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Diaz jumps guard and drags Strike to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Strike must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Strike gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Diaz is looking for a triangle but Strike pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Strike avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diaz controls Strike momentarily but Strike frees himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Diaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Strike is aware though and is defending well.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Strike defends well.

Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Strike doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Strike manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Strike has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Diaz celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
