Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mario Pereira (ranked 1771 p4p, 177 weight class) and Dan May (ranked 1074 p4p, 121 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pereira might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight. Mario Pereira has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

May pushes Pereira up against the cage in a clinch.
May lands an elbow inside that Pereira shrugs off.
Pereira fails to pull guard.
Pereira tries to pull guard but May forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
May lands a nice elbow.
May misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Pereira.
May lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pereira backwards.
May lands a nice elbow.
Pereira blocks an elbow strike.
May told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

May got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pereira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, May has managed to get both his arms back between Pereira's legs - danger averted.
