Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Terry Crew (ranked 857 p4p, 109 weight class) and Jakob Trabik (ranked 2106 p4p, 263 weight class). Jakob Trabik has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terry Crew!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jakob Trabik!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crew shoots in looking for a takedown. Trabik tries to sprawl out of it but Crew keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Trabik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Trabik is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Crew with a body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Crew 's head but he takes it in his stride.


It looks like Terry Crew has been cut.
Crew tries to close the distance and clinch but Trabik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Trabik has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Crew is landing a low percentage of strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trabik throws out a loose jab but Crew uses good head movement to avoid it.
Trabik swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Crew counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Crew seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Trabik does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Crew is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Trabik is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Crew wants to work for an arm triangle but Trabik is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Trabik has one foot on Crew's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Crew tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trabik paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Crew darts in and clinches Trabik up against the cage.
Trabik swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Trabik fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Trabik tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Crew gets control of Trabik's arms and successfully pulls guard. Crew will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Crew has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trabik can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crew is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been hearing that Crew has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Crew is looking to take a break and control but Trabik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Trabik wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Crew content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

That was a close round but I would say that Terry Crew will probably get the nod.

Trabik is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Crew is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Trabik had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crew defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Trabik works over Crew's head and body with a nice combination.
A jab lands there for Trabik.
Trabik keeps the fight on the outside.

Crew fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Trabik to the ground. Crew is now in Trabik's guard.
Crew slips nicely into half guard.
Trabik is trying to maintain the position but Crew is very close to passing his half guard.

Crew is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crew lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Crew is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Trabik reverses the position - he's now on top in Crew's guard.
Trabik is looking to work some ground and pound but Crew has wrist control.
Trabik is fighting to break Crew's control of his arms but Crew is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Trabik throws an elbow that misses. Crew uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Trabik's guard. Nice move by Crew!

Crew stands up over Trabik, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crew advances to half guard.
Trabik is looking to control Crew's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Trabik avoid being mounted?

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's time! Crew's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Trabik throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Crew half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Trabik. That snapped Crew's head back.
Trabik scores with a three punch combo!
Trabik wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Crew counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Trabik!

Crew swings around for an armbar but Trabik sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Crew's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Crew escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trabik gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Trabik in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Crew working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Trabik.

Trabik wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Crew's closed guard. He's half up but Crew has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Crew pivots and extends the arm, Trabik falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Crew! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Terry Crew!
Terry Crew seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
