Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brij Khali (ranked 8928 p4p, 727 weight class) and Roland Thibodeau (ranked 7071 p4p, 620 weight class). Roland Thibodeau struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Brij Khali has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roland Thibodeau! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thibodeau with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Thibodeau throws a right hand that Khali ducks under and follows up with a left that Khali also avoids with ease. Thibodeau misses with a double jab.
Khali appears to be looking for a big counter. Khali fails with the takedown and Thibodeau counters with a three punch combo that has Khali backing up. Khali nods at Thibodeau to acknowledge the strikes. Thibodeau rushes Khali and presses him up against the cage. A body shot lands from Thibodeau.
Thibodeau has clasped his hands together around Khali's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Khali tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Khali is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thibodeau scores with punches and elbows. Thibodeau trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Khali doesn't escape. Thibodeau is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Khali taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Thibodeau.
