And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Drenthe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fredo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fredo throws a chopping leg kick but Drenthe manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Drenthe avoids the body shot from Fredo.
Nathaniel Fredo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drenthe misses with a hook.

Fredo darts in and clinches Drenthe up against the cage.
Drenthe scores with a hook to the body.
The referee calls for Drenthe to work.
Drenthe taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Fredo manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drenthe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Fredo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Fredo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Fredo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fredo is pulling down on Drenthe's head. It's preventing any offense from Drenthe, at least for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Drenthe throws a series of strikes that have Fredo backpedaling.


It looks like Nathaniel Fredo has been cut.

Drenthe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Fredo is working for takedown but Drenthe is calmly controlling the position for now.

Drenthe lands a shoulder strike.
Drenthe pushes Fredo against the cage. Drenthe is working some dirty boxing. Drenthe pushes off with a quick right hook! Fredo goes down! Fredo tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Drenthe moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Drenthe!
