Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Puncher McBoxingMan (ranked 3853 p4p, 500 weight class) and Marek Wieczorek (ranked 4762 p4p, 582 weight class). Marek Wieczorek will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Puncher McBoxingMan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marek Wieczorek! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McBoxingMan throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Wieczorek counters with a stiff right hand. Wieczorek tries to clinch but McBoxingMan is having none of it. McBoxingMan clinches up with Wieczorek and pushes him back against the cage. Wieczorek tries to throw a body punch but McBoxingMan avoids it by throwing Wieczorek back against the cage. McBoxingMan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wieczorek throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wieczorek lands with a nice body punch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wieczorek lands a body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short right from Wieczorek. I was talking to McBoxingMan's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. McBoxingMan has Wieczorek pressed against the cage.
McBoxingMan decides to pull guard. McBoxingMan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wieczorek defends well. Wieczorek stays in close to McBoxingMan's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McBoxingMan holds on and takes a little breather. Wieczorek must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wieczorek stopping the sweep attempt from McBoxingMan. Wieczorek is fighting to break McBoxingMan's control of his arms but McBoxingMan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Wieczorek throwing strikes from guard but McBoxingMan blocks nicely. McBoxingMan pulls Wieczorek in close to prevent any damage. Wieczorek throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wieczorek is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wieczorek wants to control from the top but McBoxingMan keeps moving. McBoxingMan looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Wieczorek controls the pace of the fight for a moment. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. McBoxingMan is looking for a triangle but Wieczorek pushes his legs off easily.
Wieczorek looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. McBoxingMan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. McBoxingMan wants to control from the top but Wieczorek keeps moving. McBoxingMan drops back looking for a leg! Wieczorek is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wieczorek manages to kick McBoxingMan off! McBoxingMan jumps back into Wieczorek's guard. Wieczorek wants to sweep here but McBoxingMan controlling him for the moment.

McBoxingMan controls the pace of the fight for a moment. McBoxingMan trying to control but Wieczorek is working from the bottom. McBoxingMan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McBoxingMan preventing the sweep. McBoxingMan is stalling in the full guard. McBoxingMan stops Wieczorek from standing up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. McBoxingMan has managed to clinch.
Wieczorek misses with a short punch on the inside. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McBoxingMan jumps guard.
Wieczorek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McBoxingMan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McBoxingMan has Wieczorek pulled in close to control his posture. Wieczorek wants to control from the top but McBoxingMan keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McBoxingMan throws a right hand that Wieczorek ducks under and follows up with a left that Wieczorek also avoids with ease. McBoxingMan walks into a jab. Wieczorek scores with a nice right hand.

McBoxingMan drives through with a takedown into Wieczorek's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Wieczorek looking to hit a scissor sweep but McBoxingMan is one step ahead there. McBoxingMan trying to control but Wieczorek is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wieczorek is trying to keep McBoxingMan in close.
Wieczorek might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McBoxingMan haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

It's a sloppy attempt though and McBoxingMan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. McBoxingMan drops back looking for a leg! Wieczorek is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wieczorek manages to kick McBoxingMan off! McBoxingMan jumps back into Wieczorek's guard. McBoxingMan preventing the sweep. McBoxingMan works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McBoxingMan content to control rather than advance. McBoxingMan prevents Wieczorek from improving his position. Wieczorek trying to hold on to McBoxingMan's head to control him but McBoxingMan postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Donk. Wieczorek catches McBoxingMan right on the button with a cross. Wieczorek lunges at McBoxingMan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McBoxingMan's hand. Wieczorek blocks the body kick.

McBoxingMan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wieczorek. McBoxingMan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wieczorek can do to turn this around? McBoxingMan tries to close the distance and clinch but Wieczorek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wieczorek is clearly trying to counter these attacks from McBoxingMan with a body shot. Wieczorek misses with a body shot.

Wieczorek scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Wieczorek moves into range and connects with a jab. Wieczorek connects with a looping right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McBoxingMan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. McBoxingMan doesn't manage to clinch there - Wieczorek circles away.
Wieczorek scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McBoxingMan doesn't seem bothered though. This has been an exciting period of action! Wieczorek misses the shot to the body. Marek Wieczorek seems to be getting the better of the standup. Wieczorek ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McBoxingMan moves away. Wieczorek changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The fight stays on the outside here - McBoxingMan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wieczorek fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McBoxingMan avoids the body shot from Wieczorek.
Wieczorek lands with a shot to the body. Marek Wieczorek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McBoxingMan throws a hook but Wieczorek avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marek Wieczorek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Wieczorek tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. McBoxingMan slowing the pace effectively. McBoxingMan prevents a body shot from Wieczorek. A head punch on the inside from Wieczorek fails to land. Wieczorek can't find room to land a body shot as McBoxingMan controls the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McBoxingMan keeping moving, preventing Wieczorek from controlling successfully. Wieczorek trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McBoxingMan wants to sweep here but Wieczorek controlling him for the moment. McBoxingMan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. McBoxingMan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wieczorek is trying to get back to full guard. Wieczorek has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McBoxingMan is working away from the top position though. McBoxingMan sitting and controlling from the half guard. McBoxingMan wants to free his trapped foot but Wieczorek is holding on for dear life with his legs. McBoxingMan passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Wieczorek!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wieczorek is squirming around, avoiding McBoxingMan's attempts to control the action. Wieczorek is in all sorts of trouble here.
McBoxingMan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Wieczorek to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Wieczorek shrugs it off. Wieczorek is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
McBoxingMan moves to the back position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McBoxingMan controlling well, preventing Wieczorek from escaping the position.
Wieczorek wants to control his opponent's hands but McBoxingMan gets his hands free. Wieczorek is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get McBoxingMan off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Wieczorek preventing the rear naked choke attempt from McBoxingMan. Wieczorek is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if McBoxingMan gets his way!
