Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Owen Ziegler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blitz Ugen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Owen Ziegler! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Blitz Ugen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ziegler scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ziegler is looking to take a break and control but Ugen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ziegler postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ugen avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ziegler. You can see the frustration on Ugen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ziegler tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ugen's legs. Ziegler is looking to take a break and control but Ugen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ugen regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ugen is trying to maintain the position but Ziegler is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ziegler throws a head kick that misses. Ugen shoots and misses and Ziegler counters with a single leg into guard. Ugen didn't expect that. Ugen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ziegler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ziegler trying to control but Ugen is working from the bottom. Ugen is pulling down on Ziegler's head. It's preventing any offense from Ziegler, at least for the moment. Ugen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ziegler advances position into side control! Ziegler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ziegler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ziegler is breathing heavily. Ugen is not content to let Ziegler control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ugen is trying to control Ziegler's posture but Ziegler avoids it. Ziegler wants to stand but Ugen has his arm trapped. Ziegler trying to control the position but Ugen is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ugen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Owen Ziegler dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ugen fails with the takedown and Ziegler counters with a single leg into guard. Ugen didn't expect that. Ziegler wants to control from the top but Ugen keeps moving. Ziegler is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ugen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ugen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ugen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ziegler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ugen. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ziegler working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ugen struggling a bit here. Ziegler is looking to take a break and control but Ugen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ugen wants to control but Ziegler postures up. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ziegler tries to clinch up but Ugen circles away and keeps his distance. Ziegler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ziegler misses with a takedown attempt and Ugen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ugen. Ziegler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ugen controls the pace. Let's hope that Ugen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Ziegler looking for a sweep. Not yet Ziegler, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ziegler being controlled here, momentarily. Ugen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ziegler is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ziegler has escaped and now he's on top! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Owen Ziegler will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Ziegler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ziegler connects with a couple of short punches. Ugen has control of Ziegler's left arm, preventing Ziegler from doing any damage. Ugen has his feet on Ziegler's thighs here. He's pushed Ziegler off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Ziegler screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
