Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Corey Mercer (ranked 2868 p4p, 333 weight class) and Iso Paa (ranked 1701 p4p, 220 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Mercer misses its intended target.
Paa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mercer appears to be looking for a big counter.

and Mercer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Paa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Paa has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Mercer wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
