Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Weiss (ranked 5850 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tibe Hali (ranked 7204 p4p, 566 weight class). Tibe Hali will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tibe Hali! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hali shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hali showed some decent athleticism there. Hali looks winded! Weiss actively working from the bottom here. Weiss makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Weiss throws a body shot but no joy. Hali clinches with his opponent.
Hali escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Weiss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weiss throws a hook to the side of Hali's head but Hali sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Weiss misses with a left hand and Hali counters by clinching up. Weiss is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Hali has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Weiss is trying to keep an underhook but Hali manages to get the takedown into half guard. Weiss has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hali is on him like a limpet, forcing Weiss back against the cage. Weiss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hali closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Weiss manages to get to full guard.

Weiss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Weiss is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hali pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weiss kicks Hali off and gets back to his feet. Weiss misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hali.
A swing and a miss from Weiss. A countering left hand to the body from Hali misses. Weiss gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Weiss manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Weiss breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Weiss moves into the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hali. Weiss explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Weiss with a body punch. A glancing blow. Weiss looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Weiss lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Weiss landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Weiss wants to stand up but Hali has a hold of him and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hali gets the takedown into side control. Weiss sneaks back into half guard. Hali is breathing heavily. Hali trying to control from half guard but Weiss is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hali is just content to waste time from the top position. Weiss takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Weiss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hali can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Humberto Weiss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Weiss is looking for a triangle but Hali pushes his legs off easily.
Hali postures up in Weiss's guard and throws a big left but Weiss blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Weiss looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hali is one step ahead there. Weiss wriggles free and stands up. Hali slips a straight right by Weiss. Hali bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Weiss lands with a hook. Hali tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Weiss closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weiss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hali takes the fight into the clinch. Weiss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Weiss looks to land a right hand but Hali moved out of range. Weiss throws out a loose jab but Hali uses good head movement to avoid it. A nice side step and Hali releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Weiss lands a right hook to the body.
Weiss darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hali wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weiss decides to stand up. Hali takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Weiss misses with a body shot.
Weiss feints and as Hali raises his hands in defense, Weiss changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Weiss is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Weiss lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Weiss working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hali's head. Hali wants to sweep here but Weiss controlling him for the moment. Weiss lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Humberto Weiss dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Hali counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Tibe Hali is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hali shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Weiss manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Weiss escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hali gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hali got a little sloppy there for a moment and Weiss has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hali has managed to get both his arms back between Weiss's legs - danger averted. Weiss is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hali can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hali stops Weiss from standing up. Hali takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Weiss is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A looping hook to the body misses from Hali. Weiss does a little dance to reset his feet. Weiss closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Weiss jumps guard and drags Hali to the mat. Weiss will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hali stands up out of Weiss's guard for a moment - Weiss manages to land a nice upkick.
And that's the end of the fight! Humberto Weiss showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Weiss, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
