The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Cassel drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cassel drops back looking for a leg! Johns is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johns manages to kick Cassel off! Cassel jumps back into Johns's guard.
Johns trying to keep a closed guard but Cassel is proving a slippery customer.
Johns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cassel on the ground.
Cassel won't allow Johns to get back to his feet.

Cassel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cassel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Johns wants to sweep here but Cassel controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johns is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cassel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johns's head.
Johns really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cassel arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Johns's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
