The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake pushes Thomas up against the cage in a clinch.
Drake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thomas throws a body kick that misses.
Thomas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Drake quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Thomas instigates a clinch.
Drake keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thomas's efforts to push away.
Drake has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Thomas is trying to keep an underhook but Drake manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Drake is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Thomas is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drake takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Drake landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Thomas is trying to control but can't.

Drake blocks the strikes from Thomas.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thomas can do anything to dispel that myth.
Thomas trying to hold on to Drake's head to control him but Drake postures up.
Thomas wants to get back to full guard but Drake has mounted him!
Drake content just to control the position here.
Drake jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Thomas manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Thomas is letting Drake control him for a moment.

Thomas wants to get back to his feet but Drake drags him back down.
A lull in the action here as Drake stalls from top position.
Thomas is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Drake looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Drake tries for a kimura but Thomas is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Drake remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Thomas is trying to buck Drake off.
Drake has hold of Thomas's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Thomas tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Drake cranks the arm and Thomas screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Thomas, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
