Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Monsun Moon (ranked 5364 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uruk Owraa (ranked 5559 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monsun Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Uruk Owraa!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moon scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Moon keeps the fight on the outside.
Owraa throws the left hand but Moon avoids the punch easily.
Moon with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Moon fails to land with a series of punches.
Owraa looks to score with a jab to the body but Moon is just out of range.
Owraa gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Moon slips under a jab from Owraa.
Moon drops down looking for a counter takedown but Owraa sprawls and moves away.
Moon's corner calls for a 1-2. Moon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Moon feints and as Owraa raises his hands in defense, Moon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Owraa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Moon defends it easily.
Moon sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Moon's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Moon pushes down on Owraa's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Owraa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Moon pulls his head out easily.

Owraa is defending against the submission attempts here by Moon.
Owraa has hold of Moon's hands but Moon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Moon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Owraa is just riding it out for now. Moon eventually gives up the hold.

Moon is trying to work for a kimura but Owraa is defending well.

Moon moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Owraa.
Moon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Moon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Moon is putting a hurting on Owraa here, landing some big shots from side control.


It looks like Uruk Owraa has been cut.

Moon tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Owraa wants to control but Moon postures up.
Moon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Owraa is trying to improve his position.
You can see the frustration on Owraa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Moon decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Moon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Owraa is looking to stand back up but Moon counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Owraa.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moon is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Moon wants to work for an arm triangle but Owraa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Moon passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Owraa!
Moon breaks from Owraa's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The referee warns Owraa that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Moon half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Moon stuffs the takedown attempt from Owraa. Owraa gets slowly back to his feet.
Moon lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Moon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

enabling Moon to counter with a crisp jab.
Uruk Owraa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Owraa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Moon to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Owraa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Moon passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Owraa is not content to let Moon control the position.
Moon tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Moon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Owraa can do to turn this around?

Moon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Owraa, who protects the arm well.
Owraa can't do much from the bottom here.
Monsun Moon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Moon is looking to take a break and control but Owraa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Owraa is looking to regain half guard here but Moon keeps moving and retains side control.
Owraa manages to work his way to half guard, despite Moon's best efforts.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Moon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Owraa defends it well.

Moon seems to be working for a kimura but Owraa defends the submission attempt.
Moon is pressing down on Owraa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Owraa is holding on for now.
Owraa is looking for a sweep. Moon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, if Moon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Moon is nestled in close to Owraa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Moon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.


Uruk Owraa's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Uruk Owraa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Monsun Moon made sure he mentioned Sun-Tzu, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
Uruk Owraa was interviewed post fight and said 'I did not get to drink the blood of my opponent but I promise Il be back to take his soul.'.
