Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Carnage!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carnage tries to avoid it but Evans manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carnage to the ground. Carnage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Evans looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Carnage misses with a looping left.
Evans fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Evans shoots in for a double leg but Carnage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Evans. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Carnage feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Carnage changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Carnage controls from within his opponent's guard.
Carnage looking to pass the guard.

Evans throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Carnage sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Carnage winds up and cracks Evans with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Carnage decides to return to a standing position.
Evans misses with a takedown

and Carnage moves into the clinch.

Carnage manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carnage has his foot on Evans's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Evans works his way back into a safe position though.
Evans is looking to work some ground and pound but Carnage has wrist control.

Carnage is looking for a triangle but Evans pushes his legs off easily.
Carnage seems keen to control Evans's posture.

Carnage escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evans gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Carnage is adopting a defensive guard.
Carnage is trying to keep Evans in close.

Despite being in the dominant position, Brian Carnage just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Evans shoots and misses

and Carnage counters with a nice double leg into side control. Evans won't be happy with that.
Evans throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Evans tries to improve position but can't.
Evans is working hard here to advance position.
Carnage trying to control the position but Evans is working away.

Carnage is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Evans is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Evans is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Carnage's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Evans really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Evans is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Carnage dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Evans doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Carnage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carnage.
Carnage makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Evans throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Carnage escapes and throws Evans's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Carnage has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Evans dodges the punch combination from Carnage.
Evans misses with a takedown attempt

and Carnage counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carnage just content to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Evans gets back to half guard.

Carnage not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Carnage decides to return to a standing position.
Nice sprawl there from Evans as Carnage shoots in.
Evans shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Evans looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Evans looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Carnage is defending well. Evans quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Carnage has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Evans celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
