Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dylan Lanetaylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Floyd Sanderson !
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanetaylor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanderson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lanetaylor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lanetaylor somewhat.
Sanderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lanetaylor as he avoids it easily.

and Sanderson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lanetaylor!

Lanetaylor sneaks out the side door and pushes Sanderson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lanetaylor tries for a takedown but Sanderson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Despite the aggression on Sanderson 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Sanderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lanetaylor avoids it really well and circles away.
Lanetaylor went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Sanderson looks for the body kick but Lanetaylor saw that one coming.

Sanderson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lanetaylor napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sanderson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sanderson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lanetaylor to the ground. Sanderson is now in Lanetaylor's guard.

Sanderson is looking to advance position but Lanetaylor has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Sanderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Lanetaylor working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lanetaylor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sanderson is looking to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanderson tries to lock up and control but Lanetaylor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dylan Lanetaylor will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lanetaylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanderson circles away.
Sanderson misses with a takedown attempt - Lanetaylor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lanetaylor shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lanetaylor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Sanderson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lanetaylor!
Sanderson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Lanetaylor tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sanderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Lanetaylor seems a little lost for a moment, as Sanderson dominates the positioning.

Sanderson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lanetaylor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Sanderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lanetaylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lanetaylor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sanderson is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Sanderson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lanetaylor's guard.

Sanderson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sanderson won't allow Lanetaylor to sweep him here.

Lanetaylor working for a triangle but Sanderson defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sanderson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lanetaylor looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sanderson darts in looking for a takedown but Lanetaylor gets double underhooks and turns Sanderson into the cage.

Sanderson closes the distance and clinches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sanderson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dylan Lanetaylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Floyd Sanderson .
Sanderson content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Floyd Sanderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Lanetaylor wants to clinch up but Sanderson keeps it at a distance.
Lanetaylor lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Sanderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lanetaylor's guard.

Lanetaylor has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Sanderson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Lanetaylor lands an elbow that stopped Sanderson in his tracks for a moment.
Sanderson is trying to pull guard but Lanetaylor has him pressed against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lanetaylor is really struggling to control Sanderson but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Sanderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lanetaylor is looking for a sweep. Sanderson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lanetaylor is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanderson 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanderson 's back!
Sanderson wants to control his opponent's hands but Lanetaylor gets his hands free.

Lanetaylor lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Lanetaylor.
